An evening of free family fun will take place at the Lineside, Coalisland on Friday 29 June from 6.30pm - 8.30pm alongside the annual Newell 10K and 5K run.
The Summer Bash activities is being organised by Mid Ulster District Council in partnership with the local community, Newell Stores and Keep ‘Er Lit Running Club, and will provide an evening of family entertainment in the lead up to, during and after the annual Newell 10K and 5K run.
Visitors, runners and supporters will be entertained with live music by Brian Mills and Declan McGrath of Reverb, alongside the latest hits played by DJ Brian Nicholl. Also to be enjoyed is a selection of free children’s entertainment including: Face painting, hula hoop workshops, balloon modelling, circus workshops and tricks, arts and crafts workshops, glitter tattoos, badge/medal making, character walkabouts and dancing demonstrations from local dance schools.
Chair of the Council, Councillor Sean McPeake commented: “The Summer Bash in Coalisland will be a fantastic event for the town and the local community. To tie it in with the annual and now renowned Newell 10K and 5K will add to the atmosphere of the event and create an air of excitement for all”.

The 10K run will be sent off in style with music from the Coalisland Silver Band at 7.30pm followed by the 5K at 7.50pm.
Registration will take place on the night from 5pm at the Parochial Centre or you can avail of a pre-registration day at Newell Stores, Coalisland on Saturday 23 June.
